Oh, Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-Harriet.

News is breaking. Good news. News that one of the most irritating women on the surface of the planet is finally going to get her come-uppance.

Yes, Harriet 'Hattie' Harperson is having her collar felt.

Back in July, she drove into a parked car, whilst - wait for it - talking on her mobile 'phone.

Now that's fucking priceless. And, of course, a blow for feminists everywhere.

As CF said at the time

"Imagine if the makers of some crappy comedy programme on Channel 4 had dared to show a woman driver so busy nattering on her mobile 'phone that she drove straight into a stationary vehicle.

"There would have been an immediate feminist Twitter-mob, outraged at the defamation, followed by a statement from Hatty expressing her disgust at the outrageous sexist bias shown by the programme makers; followed, probably, by one of the producers of the programme being smeared as a kiddie fiddler.

But the stupidity of the crash wasn't the worst of it. Oh no. Having had this little entirely-her-fucking-fault bump, Hattie decided she was too important to hang around with the proles. So, she put the car back into gear, had a quick check in the mirror, and then got the fuck out of there.

As she roared off, she shouted a message for the little people who'd gathered to watch:

"I'm Harriet Harman - you know where you can get hold of me"

But you know what, Ms Harperson? That wasn't legal. You can't actually do that, no matter how terrifically important you think you are. Even if you are deputy Leader of the Labour Party, you're not above the fucking law.

Earlier this year, a police source said:

'If prosecuted and convicted for failing to stop after accident she could face up to six months' imprisonment.."

And now, to universal joy, we hear that she will - against all expectations - be having her day in court.

CF can hardly wait.

I honestly thought she'd get away with it. I'm genuinely surprised. Looks like the tide is turning.

Woo hoo! Bring back the stocks for this hooligan. In fact, about eight sets of stocks, to cope with the six or so MPs/Lords soon to be done too!

She didn't stop because she was pissed - I would imagine, but of course, I have no way of knowing that. No. Absolutely not. Mwahhaha...

She'll get of it of course on some technicality, but hopefully the good people of Camberwell & Peckham will boot her out in May.

I hope she gets fucking sacked.

As much as I desperately hope that justice does for once prevail, we all know it won't. CPS will fuck up, or the witnesses will go for a walk in the woods, or McDoom will just pass another fucking law.

Oh but how I hope...

But not alas for the failing to stop charge, which would have netted her a driving ban. She wont have a ministerial car this time next year either so that would have hurt her.
They have gone for the less serious charges in the circumstances, the driving whilst on the phone charge will be dropped and a plea taken for a minor careless driving and that will be that. Better than nothing but shite all the same , stuck up cow !!!

She's pleading not guilty. Kangaroo court anyone?

Harman must hang.

Not for this. Just on general principle.

Apparently, she's been charged (or is imminently to be charged) with Driving without due care & with using a hand-held mobile .. Allegations which she "strongly" refutes ..

Which means it will have to go to Court ..

Though it wouldn't surprise me if the witnesses as to what she is alleged to have said before driving away are "nobbled" before that happens ..

I hope they've been strongly advised against taking unaccompanied walks in any woods ..

Blair interviewed by the Police, Harman to be prosecuted.

What a rich legacy the Labour party are leaving.

The only depressing thing about all this is in 20 years the next generation will have no idea of how bad things get under Labour and will vote them in again.

Hardly surprising really .. if you boil any pot for long enough, the scum inevitably rises to the top .. as Labour have proved & go on proving day in, day out ..

Capt. Haddock, it's more like a septic tank - the largest turds always float to the top.

Sigh. Where's the failure to stop and report?

Captain Haddock said...

Hi Jill ..

The Road Traffic Act says that If, owing to the presence of a motor vehicle on a road a "Damage Only" accident occurs, the driver(s) are obliged to stop & exchange Names, Addresses, Registration Marks (Number Plates) and Insurance details ..

If the accident involves "Personal Injury" to any party (whether involved, or not) the Police MUST be called to the scene ..

Harman clearly failed to either stop (in the sense which the Act means) or exchange particulars with the driver/owner of the other vehicle & left the scene before doing so .. Merely shouting her name to passers by is not good enough & is in breach of the Act ..

Quite so, she had 24 hours in which to report herself to the Police; why isn't the bitch being done for that, the more serious offence ?

Captain Haddock said...

I wonder how or even whether she reported this collision to her Insurance company ? ..

And how, having collided with a stationary & apparently unattended vehicle .. she can "refute" the allegations ?

After all, stationary & unattended vehicles cannot simply "jump" into one's path .. or can they ?

The fact that she's alleged to have shouted her name to onlookers would suggest that there were witnesses present and that "something" had occurred (unless of course she's in the habit of shouting her name at the nearest Privet hedge) ..

Have those witnesses been interviewed by Police and Statements obtained? .. and if not .. why not ?

And, of course, failure to report to the Police is probably "'Strict Liability'" just like poor old Paul Clarke and his shotgun !
