I'm a Scot and I'm sickened by your comment about Andy Murray. The lad didn't play his best today and the better player won, but to associate him with Gordon Brown is sick.
I shan't be reading your blog anymore and certainly won't making any links. Then again you won't miss them because your readership is so anti-Scottish perhaps.

A dramatic over-reaction?
This blog - and this post - contains my opinions, and some unpleasant humour.
I do think that Murray is a dour, miserable individual, I've never supported him, I don't see why I should just because we're both 'British', I'm heartily sick of hearing about him, and I really don't care if he wins every title going or nothing at all.
I also think that Gordon Brown is a dour, miserable individual, who many people, myself included, would be glad to see the back of.
The post just makes a joke, by pointing out a couple of common factors between the two. It makes no points at all about 'the Scots' as a group.
My opinions on Scots as a whole? I don't really have any; I don't generalise in that way. I was schooled in St Andrew's, and one of my closest friends is from Dumfries. But I don't let that colour my views on Scotland or the Scottish, any more than I let Gordon Brown or Andy Murray do so.
I'm sorry that you read so much more into this short post than was really there.
CF of course you can say what you like about anyone, after all it's your blog.
To compare Andy Murray with Gordon Brown is what angers me. There is no comparison. One is a lad who has worked hard to be where he is and all by his own efforts (plus of course a support team). The other is someone who is where he is because of circumstance not through any decent work.
I'm sick of hearing about whacko jacko but I just ignore the endless talk about him. I can't comment because I've never been interested in him.
So we'll have to agree to disagree CF on this one. Yes I do take criticism of Scots quite seriously at times. I had years of it when I worked south of the border. Someone's got to haven't they? ;)
Dear Furious, You are quite correct you do not need to support Andy Murray Hell youve got all those great English Tennis Players to support, your spoilt for choice. As for Me I will stand by Andy despite his defeat as I am confident he will win slams sooner or later. As for your anti scottishness, there seems to be a feeling that Scots are subsistency Junkies , well its true we do get a generous share of national income and always have done, by the same token however in Return we have given the UK and indeed the world some of the greatest scientists,engineers, surgeons etc etc . A fairly good return on an investment, but of course perhaps you dont see that , you should get ourt more and braoden your horizons perhaps read a bit more as well. Its your bolg and you can cry f you want to.
PS Like you I despise Brown and all the scots mafia, specially McHarman,McHoon, McBlears,McBlunket, McMandleson, McPrescot, etc etc etc

If Murray had won, he was British. If he lost he was Scottish. That seems fair enough. Murray has not exactly tried to conceal his contempt for the English - but who cares what he thinks of us? If people want to support an overpaid prima donna for knocking a little ball over a net, good luck to them. But equally, if some people want to call it how it is, as CF does, more power to his tennis elbow.
The anti Scotish sentiment here is clearly playing into the hands of the Labour Party. Divide and conquer its called. Listen u muppets the Key to Getting rid of this shower in power lies in Scotland. Its because of their traditional base up here that they have gained power. Plenty of Scots hate them but cant bring themselves to vote for the Conservatives because of perceived English Bias. Postings such as witnessed here only add to that perception.So recognise who your real friends are or they will get back in .
