Do as Gordon says, not as he does

Our seemingly-perpetual Prime Minister, Gordon Brown, was kind enough to share with us his views on crime and anti-social behaviour when he spoke yesterday.

Actually, it wasn't so much his views on those key subjects as his views on - oh god, here we fucking go again - the eeevil Tories.

So, under the guise of discussing crime, McBroon informed us all:

"..you don’t tackle the fear of crime by cultivating it, by ramping up a public sense of panic, by abusing the figures and claiming our society is broken ...

Because sometimes as damaging as the fear of crime is the crime of fear. And I will play no part in that."

Well, putting aside the fact that we'd like to hear what your Government is doing, not a misrepresentation of what your opponents said, there might possibly be - for once - something in what you say there Gordon, mangled and convoluted though it is. Yes. It's no good trying to scare the public into agreement, is it?

But wait, what's that? There's more. Yes, Gordo's carrying on with his speech:

"Some argue that liberty dictates we should immediately wipe from the DNA database everyone who has been arrested but not convicted of an offence. But if we did this ... many dangerous criminals would have remained at large ... next time you hear somebody question the value of retaining DNA profiles ... remember Jeremiah Sheridan. And most of all remember the innocent woman he attacked"

What? Hang on. What the fuck?

Didn't you just say, you one-eyed mentalist, that no-one should 'cultivate' a fear of crime? That no-one should 'ramp up' a sense of panic?

But then, in the same fucking speech, didn't you just say that we must keep taking DNA, otherwise bad people - ooohh, be afraid - like Jeremiah will 'remain at large' and - run! hide! - attack innocent women?

We're used to your lies and hypocrisy, Broon, but surely this must be a personal best - directly contradicting yourself, putting opposing points of view, in the same fucking speech?

Dear God.

Hmmm, saying this just the day before a bunch of New Labour's finest 'young people' kill an elderly couple in an arson attack for standing up to them isn't his best timing, either...

Well said, CF.

Worse still, Sheridan was caught by matching DNA taken at the scene of the crime with a later sample taken from him in connection with a subsequent arrest. So the DNA register was not even necessary in order to secure this arrest.

Not only is Gordon a screaming hypocrite, he is also detached from all sense of logic.

Gordon: stop lying to us, and call the election.

No, apparently if you're New Labour you tackle crime by cultivating the fear of it, ramping up a sense of panic, and by abusing the figures and claiming our society is fixed.

There's nothing more he can do now but simply regurgitate stale old anti-Tory rhetoric everywhere he goes - just look at his performance on PMQs every time.

Talking of PMQs, just look at how many times Macavity has missed the sessions compared with other PMs.

I said this before somewhere, but there appears to be a lot of concern about the fact the Con servatives have no policies, But neither have the commy bastards that are "in charge" now.

"An automatic gainsaying of the other is NOT an argument" as John Cleese could tell him.

As such the only ones that appear to have actual POLICY, are UKIP and the BNP.

What a choice you have!

Clearly it takes more than 12 years to tackle the fear of crime.

Sorry?

Did he really say that if we wipe off the DNA records of people arrested but not convicted (ie the legally and usually actually innocent), then loads of dangerous criminals will remain at large?

So which of these innocent people does he think are the criminals? And how does he know, if the courts decided otherwise, or if the matter never even came to court?

The idea of this man being in charge of anything is pretty terrifying really.

That is a truly horrible picture.

You only have to be suspected in Brown's brave new Britain. Apparently the German High Court have overturned the the governments plans to retain all electronic communicatons (as happens in this country). So the country we fought against in the name of freedom nad democracy, the country that gave us Hitler is now giving us lessons in liberty and democracy. How ironic is that?

No. The Bundesverfassungsgericht have overturned the plans.

(The Fedral constitutional court).

There is no "high court" in Germany.

Each ministry has their own, and the Government of each Land has THEIR own.

Bundesarbeitsgericht (Works, working conditions, employment law, etc), Bundessozialgericht (All matters dealing with "dole" and things linked thereto), Bundesfamiliegericht (divorce law, marraige law, etc), ans so on.

No. Hitler was given to us by Austria. You can not lay that at OUR door.

The one eyed monster as you put it (LOL) has turned this country once a beacon of personal liberty & freedom into a sequel for George Orwell's 1984.

You should check out the Lib Dems freedom bill > http://www.darkpolitricks.com/2010/03/uk-elections-and-the-liberal-democrats-freedom-bill/

You might not get any extra money out of voting Lib Dem but if they get enough votes 2 form part of a coalition government they might just roll back some of Labours liberty killing laws.
