Guilty as charged

A great day. Or at least, a great day for those who like to see the guilty called to account. A less great day if you're a chiselling, theiving, money-grubbing Labour MP.

Yes, today three Labour MPs, including that thieving git Elliot Morley , that fucking crook David Chaytor and that bumbling fuckwit Jim Devine will appear in court, after being charged last month with multiple offences under the Theft Act. Result.

Finally, at-fucking-last, some of the troughing swine get charged. They've stolen our money, and now they're in court. Perfect.

And as those three drag their trotters reluctantly up the Courtroom steps, we hear the news that - what a surprise - there's more to come.

Apparently, Detectives are also investigating Eric Illsley, Labour MP for Barnsley, after he allegedly made “phantom” claims for council tax. 'Phantom': nice word. Wouldn't 'Fraudulent..', 'Utterly False..' or 'Completely Fucking Fake..' be better words though? Closer to the truth?

And, wait for it, there's more. Much more. The Metropolitan Police has begun a criminal inquiry into - you guessed it - yet another Labour MP.

Harry Cohen claimed more than £70,000 for a “second home” while renting out his main property. From 2004 to 2009, Cohen told the parliamentary authorities that his main home was in Colchester and his second home was in his constituency in Wanstead, east London.

He then soaked us to pay for the consituency home, while - get this - renting out his main home.

His defence? His wife was apparently too ill to live in Colchester. What? However, Cohen did add that he always intended to return to his main home, adding:

“I consider it a home of beauty… I feel that angels reside there.”

Well, they must have particularly wealthy fucking angels, as they paid him a total of 27,000 in rent.

While he was trousering the Cherubim's cash, we had to pay real, earth-bound workmen to renovate 'his' constituency property, including spending £1,741 on granite kitchen worktops, £3,131 on plastering and £1,470 on decorations. He's flogging his designated second home for £475,000 — a tidy profit of £100,000. And all thanks to the taxpayer's generosity, and his fraudulent claims.

So, the wheels of justice will begin to grind on Mr Cohen, as well as his sleazy, thieving colleagues.

Dear God. Has any government, anywhere, ever contained MP's as dishonest and self-serving as this one?

Has any government before ever ended its term in office with several of its serving MP's facing criminal charges?

What a fitting tribute to the Labour party and all its great works.

Send them down...

Brown is just as bad as Cohen, but what else would you expect from the devious mendacious financially-inept moron?

What really gets me is the sheer lack of remorse. I'd have a bit more understanding if they said 'it's a fair cop but the HoC culture is to blame, and I'm just a craven, deceitful free-loader'.
Instead we have crap along the lines of 'angels live there', 'other people are jealous of my mansions', 'that's what the whip told me'.
For god's sake why can't just one of them stand up and confess to swinging the lead and say sorry? Utter. utter shites.

I would like to see someone (and unlike you, I couldn't give a toss about the party they represent) do jail time. Petty thieves from the underclass get jailed. This isn't petty thieving, and the TICs for each of these venal people must run to the 100s. How much time would a junkie shoplifter with 100s of TICs get? A joyrider with 100s of TWOCs?

The soldiers in Afghanistan have more
Honor than these Grabs, even the one who claim not to have done nothing you are as
guilty as those that did, because you played along, instead of reporting it,But i ask what has happened
to the white collerworker at the Fees office have they all been wrapped in cotton wool.

Must be all that prison food.

Cohen needs 30mm Granite kitchen worktops for the large trough. Good job he claimed £20 for a new letterbox ready for his court summons from PC Bacon. Oink.

Don't count chickens before they're hatched.

[Or thieving MP's before they're convicted]

We need a man such as would speak as this:-

...It is high time for me to put an end to your sitting in this place, which you have dishonoured by your contempt of all virtue, and defiled by your practice of every vice; ye are a factious crew, and enemies to all good government; ye are a pack of mercenary wretches, and would like Esau sell your country for a mess of pottage, and like Judas betray your God for a few pieces of money.

“Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess? Ye have no more religion than my horse; gold is your God; which of you have not barter'd your conscience for bribes? Is there a man amongst you that has the least care for the good of the Commonwealth?

“Ye sordid prostitutes, have you not defil'd this sacred place, and turn'd the Lord's temple into a den of thieves by your immoral principles and wicked practices? Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation; you were deputed here by the people to get grievances redress'd; your country therefore calls upon me to cleanse the Augean Stable, by putting a final period to your iniquitous proceedings, and which by God's help and the strength He has given me, I now come to do.

“I command ye, therefore, upon the peril of your lives, to depart immediately out of this place! Take away that shining bauble there, and lock up the doors. You have sat here too long for the good you do. In the name of God, go!”
