Schools out for .. some ash

The long arm of the volcano reaches everyone. Apparently, many schools have had to close, because so many teachers are stuck abroad. We're told that:

"..schools reported that as many as a quarter of teachers were stranded abroad."

So difficult is the situation that:

"Some primaries and secondaries even told pupils to stay away for up to a week because of staff shortages."

But hang on, hang on a fucking minute.

Haven't we always been told that it's callous and rude and naughty and wrong to assume that teachers enjoy the same preposterously long holidays as their nit-ridden pupils?

Aren't we supposed to believe that, while Kylie and Wayne are enjoying themselves on holiday, the poor old teachers are slaving away in the empty schools, preparing the next round of green indoctrination?

If that were true, how come up to 1 in 4 teachers weren't even in the fucking country 3 or 4 days before term started then?  Particularly this term, the term that contains all the fucking GCSE's, and the A-levels and the other bloody qualifications they're supposed to be teaching?

Is this just a giant, global fucking duvet day?

First day back at school today....oh no....wait a's another fckin' teacher training day. Fck knows what they need training in, maybe a new brand of chalk is on the market or they need reminding how to open the fckin' windows again. Thick leftie bstards.

I started back today and a large-ish number of (women) teachers were stranded abroad .

Says much for the life-styles of their boyfriends/husbands and not much about the teaching profession (other than the current preferred recruitment pool).

Floppy can f**k off with his jibes about In-service Days . They are rarely more than politicised rallies where we're told what to think/do by our political masters . Unfortunately it was the same under the Conservative Party , who introduced them (hence they are known as Baker days in England).

Demoralised after one day back ? Certainly not !

All this and Cleggmania .

Just as when it snowed a bit the teachers led the way in staying away from school. Thick lazy cunts.

Funny, I was at school in the 'conservative' days and I don't remember any teacher training days.
And if all they are are days to teach you how to think, proves what a bunch of muppets you are.

Thanks for the reply , Floppy . Your recollection is as faulty as your judgement .

Kenneth Baker . Remember him ?

Baker Days ?

Geddit ?

Of course , we were all at school once , so we're all experts .

No I don't remember him. When I was at school I didn't give a fck about politics.
There's no argument matey, I don't care if the tories did introduce them, I NEVER had a day off due to teacher training days. You may tell me I did but I KNOW I didn't.
No doubt if tomorrow, teachers decided to have every other week off for training you'd still blame some old tory.
With people like you 'educating' people, no wonder there's a marked degradation in the quality of people leaving school nowadays. Again, you'll probably blame that on some tory but I blame you.

These are the same fuckers who forbid you from taking your children on a hard earned Holiday during school term on the grounds that your little ones entire life will be ruined if they miss a week or to from school. Bollox.Fucking jumped up arseholes, most of them.

Trouble with most teachers is that the cunts have never left school themsleves. As the wise man said "A teacher is a man amongst children and a child amongst men "

Thanks for your reasoned and closely argued analysis , Floppy .

As I am an old Tory , it's clearly all my fault .

You are so right .
